Based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, ALG Custom Steel is a family owned and operated metal fabricating business dedicated to achieving excellence in design, quality and a focus on our clients’ design briefs and expectations.
Founder and designer Aiden Guerin began his career at the age of 17 in Darwin under the skillful hand of his father, Craig Guerin who is well known throughout Australia and featured in many blacksmithing articles and television documentaries for his long standing career in decorative wrought iron work. After gaining this experience Aiden went on to learn and broaden his skills within the metal industry, working with aluminium, steel and stainless steel, while maintaining his first passion and approach to creativity and design excellence.
After meeting his wife and moving to Noosa, QLD in 2014, Aiden furthered his skills as well as client base and launched his business ALG Custom Steel in 2016 where he continues to offer one on one customer dedication, artistic and innovative designs and quality workmanship throughout the sunshine coast. ALG Firepits, Grills and Rottiseries was the successful push behind this decision and continues to grow with sales expanding interstate as demand for our quality and unique designs has increased.
Our passion is to create beautiful products that can be enjoyed and reflect our clients individuality while maintaining our excellent reputation in quality workmanship and design.

An ALG product is meant to last. They are also meant to be loved.
The factory warranty applies to manufacturing defects. All ALG firepits and wood stores are unconditionally warranted for one year from the date of purchase.
All ALG firepits and wood stores are made with weathering steel, a weather resistant steel produced by BlueScope Steel. These steels are known as “weathering resistant steels” or “weathering steels” and are widely recognised for their distinctive “patina” which results from protective surface oxidation and develops during exposure to the atmosphere.
The patina is actually a complex protective oxide layer that forms on the steel’s surface.
It is this oxide layer that gives the steel its distinctive appearance as well as contributing to this material’s enhanced weather resistance capabilities compared to standard steels. If the protective oxide layer is damaged, the process of oxidation may recommence in that area until the protective layer is reformed.
The improved corrosion performance can lead to improved service life and can provide a cost advantage over other materials.
